PowerLab welcomed David Reif, Jane Hoppin and Marissa Kosnik who visited from the CHHE – NC State University, Raleigh – across May 1st and 2nd to the University of Wollongong.

On May 1st Research collaboration meetings were held and a seminar (POWERTALK) was presented to the UOW Community. This POWERTALK introduced a new research alliance between UOW’s PowerLab and North Carolina State University’s Centre for Human Health and Environment. It also provided intro’s to new research being conducted in population health, environmental and data sciences.


PowerTalk Seminar Abstract: This presentation will introduce a new research alliance between UOW’s PowerLab and North Carolina State University’s Centre for Human Health and Environment. It will also provide intros to new research being conducted in population health, environmental and data sciences.

At the POWERTALK presentations were made by A/Prof Thomas Astell-Burt, A/Prof Jane Hoppin and A/Prof David Reif. The event was chaired by Dr Xiaoqi Feng.

On Tuesday May 2nd further research collaboration meetings were held between PowerLab, CHHE, SMART, The National Institute for Applied Statistics Research Australia and the Centre for Atmospheric Chemistry.
